Our Core Services

TDM, Parking &
Curbside Strategy
Capital projects are great but managing demand is half the battle. Physical improvements balanced with demand policies and programs are needed to achieve the best results. We design, implement, and operate city, stadium, developer, event, Transportation Management Association (TMA) and employer TDM programs – as well as curbside strategies, on- and off-street parking policies, and station access programs. Our work spans all modes, ensuring that TDM strategies fare well within the broader transportation context.

Transit
Planning
Journey’s transit planning approach focuses on practical strategies for improving operations, growing markets, developing successful real estate projects, and launching new transit technology products. Bus network redesigns, transit corridor service planning, shuttle planning, transit master plans, microtransit service planning, station access planning, and Title VI evaluations are all in our wheelhouse.

Planner-Led
Engagement
Community outreach should be engaging and directly connected to the underlying planning process. That's why we have a planner-led engagement practice that is proactive and topically relevant. We look for opportunities to closely tie engagement to technical work, while incorporating bigger picture messaging that crosses disciplines. For example, our construction mitigation engagement approach centers TDM strategies to achieve mode shift goals and reduce drive alone trips during all project stages. We offer full-service or strategy level help, depending on the market.

Strategy, Support & Training
True progress is sustainable and internal. While we like advising as experts in our industry, we are most satisfied when our work helps builds the skill sets and structures needed to make rapid and ongoing change. We offer tailored approaches designed to enhance your institutional capacity - including organizational reviews, implementation assistance, training modules, in-situ coaching, and leadership support. Need short-term staff embeds to augment a priority initiative or for seamless access to specific expertise? We can play matchmaker.
